The Competition
Entry Criteria
Entrants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents over 18 years of age. Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant. Artworks must be less than two years old. Submitted artworks must be either painting or sculpture.

Judging
For the inaugural 2023 edition of the Viali™ Art Competition, Linda Price-Bennett will be the judge. Each accepted entry will be judged on the basis of originality, creativity, adherence to the artist’s statement and intention, quality, and virtuosity of technique.
Promote Yourself
We invite accepted artists to submit a 15-second video to tell us a little about yourself, and why you entered the competition. Promote your work to all visitors to this website. That includes potential buyers, other artists, and all the many art world contacts that pay attention to this competition.
Promotion
All accepted entrants will be promoted by Viali™ Art Competition and will be invited to submit a 15-second promotional video. Awarded entrants will be showcased in Viali™ Art Competition 2023 group exhibition.
Awarded & Mentioned Art
Each category, painting and sculpture, will have first-place cash award of $3,000, second-place cash award of $2,000 and third-place cash award of $1,000 CDN. Additional top 10 in each category will receive honourable mention and a National Promotion Campaign for Winning entrants. Campaign details to follow.
